So many shops, so little time. Here we give you details of the many places to shop in edinburgh.
Edinburgh's shops are generally open from 9am until 6pm, with late night opening (until 8 or 9pm) on a Thursday and shorter hours on a Sunday. Some smaller shops may take a half day on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Glassmarket: if you're looking for antiques, arts and crafts, book and other speciality shops, you'll find a good range in and around Glassmarket.
Princes Street (or high street): the main shopping street in edinburgh is Princes Street. There you’ll find all the usual high street stores, a shopping mall and the larger department stores of Frasers, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Jenners.
Rose Street and George Street: both of which run parallel to Princess Street, have more upmarket shops.
The Royal Mile: has plenty of gift shops and, amongst the traditional souvenirs, there are many good quality products.
