What: Edinburgh Zoo is the largest and most exciting wildlife attraction in Scotland. In just one day you can see 130 different types of animal (over 1,000 animals).
The Zoo is set in a beautiful parkland setting on the outskirts of Edinburgh, close to the airport. There are a wide range of visitor facilities, from free Hilltop Safari rides, children's play areas, restaurants, gift shops and masses of events and activities throughout the year.
Edinburgh Zoo is also commited to the highest standards of animal welfare, conservation and environmental educational. It promotes the conservation of animal species and wild places, through captive breeding, environmental education and scientific research.
Tickets: (2005 prices) Adult £9.00, Child (3 - 14) £6.00, Child under 3 free. Family tickets - 2 adults + 2 children £28, extra children £3.50 each. Concessions (proof required): UB40 £6.50, Senior Citizen £6.50, Student £7.00.
